mr. L.M. (Léon) Graal

Lawyer - Partner

After graduating (Rotterdam, 1992), Léon worked as a trainee at a large law firm in Seattle, Washington. In 1993, he was sworn in as a lawyer and joined a large Amsterdam law firm where he worked in the corporate law section until 2006. Here, he was closely involved in a number of major international bankruptcies and acted as a lawyer in various investigations at the Enterprise Chamber at various (listed) companies.

In 1997, Léon also took over a (family) business that was active in the chemical and oil industry, among other things. Until 2005, he combined the management of this company with his law practice. Léon has extensive experience in corporate law and related procedures. In addition, he has focused on the law of obligations, directors’ liability law, general liability law, takeovers and participations.

In 2005, Léon successfully completed the Grotius specialization course in Corporate Litigation. He is also a member of the specialization association for Corporate Litigation.

Léon has registered the following legal area in the register of legal areas of the Dutch Bar Association:

  • Corporate law

This registration obliges him to obtain ten training credits in each registered main legal area each calendar year in accordance with the standards of the Dutch Bar Association.
