Thomas Hovers (1977) joined Sarfaty Advocaten in November 2006 and became a partner in 2015.

Thomas studied Dutch law at the University of Amsterdam. After his graduation, Thomas made his debut as a lawyer in August 2003 at law firm Boekel de Nerée (today: Dentons). Since 2004, Thomas has become a specialist in real-estate law.

Thomas is in particular engaged in cases involving the purchase/sale and lease of immovable property, homeowner-association law, disputes on statutory rights and duties between neighbours (for instance foundation disputes), contract law in general, and civil procedural law. He represents his clients in lease and purchase/sale disputes and, in doing so, he may act on behalf of lessees as well as lessors respectively on behalf of purchasers as well as vendors. 

Thomas is a member of the Dutch Association of Landlord & Tenant-Law Lawyers (“VHA”), the Dutch Association of Legal Experts on Real-Estate Law (“VVJ”), and the Dutch Association of Legal Experts on Apartment Rights (“JvA”).

Thomas has registered the following areas of law in the accreditation register of the Bar Association of the Netherlands:

This registration comes with the obligation to obtain ten CPE credits per calendar year for each registered key area of law, in compliance with the standards of the Bar Association of the Netherlands.
