Nicolet studied Dutch law at Leiden University. After her graduation in 1993, she kicked off as a lawyer in Sint Maarten (Netherlands Antilles). Since 1997 she has been working at several law firms in Amsterdam. On 1 November 2023, she joined Sarfaty Advocaten as a partner, working in the Real-Estate section.
Nicolet focuses in particular on lease disputes regarding business property, disputes concerning the purchase and sale of real estate, construction-law cases (for instance delivery issues), and cases involving statutory rights and duties between neighbours (for instance nuisance, boundary disputes). In addition, Nicolet is specialized in (trading) contracts, including general terms and conditions. On top of this, Nicolet has a wealth of litigation experience, whether she represents the lessor, the building contractor in its capacity as lessee, or the principal.
Nicolet takes a pragmatic approach to disputes. Together with her client she searches for the best possible solution. Clients working with Nicolet say she knows how to get her message across and that she is clear about the strategy to be pursued.
Nicolet is a member of the Dutch Association of Legal Experts on Real-Estate Law (“VVJ”).
