Femke van der Heijden (1974) joined Sarfaty Advocaten in 2016 and became a partner in 2020.

After graduating from Utrecht University, Femke joined law firm Houthoff Buruma where she worked for 6 years as a lawyer, 4.5 years of which in their Real-Estate section.

Subsequently, until 2012, she worked as an interim legal counsel for a variety of clients (companies, municipalities and private individuals), each time in the area of planning & zoning law. This has given her a first-hand understanding of the ins and outs of different organisations, and today she reaps the benefits.

In 2012, Femke resumed her practice as a lawyer. She provides legal advice and litigation services with regard to planning permissions, zoning-plan review proceedings, derogations from zoning plans, enforcement issues and other administrative-law issues, and more.

Femke is a member of the Dutch Construction-Law Association (“VBR”) and the Dutch Administrative-Law Association (“VAR”).

Accreditation register:

Femke has registered the following areas of law in the accreditation register of the Bar Association of the Netherlands:

– Administrative Law: procedural administrative law
– Planning Law: planning & zoning law

This registration comes with the obligation to obtain ten CPE credits per calendar year for each registered key area of law, in compliance with the standards of the Bar Association of the Netherlands.
